PLANNING OFFICER
Development Directorate. Preston City Council is part of the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal. Work has already started on a £430 million 10 year investment programme to grow the local economy by £1 billion, creating over 20,000 new jobs and building over 17,000 new homes. At this exciting time we are investing in our Planning service in order to deliver our corporate priorities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to take up a Planning Officer role within the Development Management team.
In this Planning Officer role you will deal primarily with small-scale planning applications covering a wide range of planning issues. You will have some knowledge of the planning system and Development Management in particular. You will need to show you can act on your own initiative and work with minimal supervision with an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised individual.
