Senior Planning Officer (Enforcement)

£32,878 - £34,788 per annum – Grade 10 - (plus Market Supplement between £849 and £1155 per annum until 31st August 2019, with a review this Spring)

We are looking for a Senior Planning Officer to lead on the planning enforcement work of the Development Management Team within the Planning Service; to develop and implement enforcement policy and systems and to undertake the preparation of expediency reports on enforcement cases; make recommendations on principally but not solely retrospective applications; where appropriate determine retrospective planning applications; and to contribute to other corporate priorities undertaken within the Directorate. 

The post holder will assist the Development Management Team Manager in the supervision and direction of the Enforcement Officer, and support staff within the Development Management Team.

You will be a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and have development management experience within a local planning authority, and ideally have had responsibility for planning enforcement.
