The Planning Applications Team is high performing despite a substantial and complex work load of applications of all types. Having established this high performance across the service, we are now creating a new role managing the team tasked with delivering a range of significant new development sites allocated through Stratford-on-Avon District’s Core Strategy.

Some of our key sites include the Garden Village at Long Marston Airfield, Stratford’s South-Western Relief Road, the new settlement at Gaydon/Lighthorne Heath and Stratford-upon-Avon’s Canal Quarter Regeneration Area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day support and supervision, and take line management responsibility, for a team of Senior Planners.

You will be expected to show enthusiasm, drive and a proven ability to take a positive approach to development. You will also have extensive contact with District Councillors and Parish Councils.

You should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in planning or related discipline and be a full member of the RTPI. Several years’ experience in a development management setting is essential.
