Principal Planning Officer - Development Management
Civic Centre, Arnold
Salary up to £40,760 PA for 37 hours (including market supplement) plus payment of RTPI professional fee

Do you have significant Development Management experience and knowledge of a broad range of planning issues? If so, this is an ideal opportunity for you to progress your planning career. You need to have experience of managing large scale planning applications, working as part of a team and making effective presentations to elected members and the public.
You will be committed to improving the quality of our planning service, and be keen to help other officers reach their full potential. You must be a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) or possess a relevant planning qualification and have suitable experience to gain immediate membership.
Responsible for the management of an area team of planning case officers, you will also deal with a small caseload of major and complex planning applications. This is a key role in the service reporting directly to the Service Manager – Development Services.
A casual user car allowance attaches to the post giving access to free onsite parking.
