Principal GIS Data Analysis

Our Client is a prominent Local Authority in East London and they require a Principal GIS Data Analysis to join their Operational Services Team within their Public Realm Division. You will be responsible for ensuring the continued development of the Division's GIS and spatial data analysis capabilities, identifying opportunities for GIS development and ensure ongoing improvements to the performance of the business applications through the delivery of efficiencies and savings. You will also carry out the following:

o GIS Data capture using MapInfo or QGIS or other editing packages;
o GIS analysis - being able to query spatial and non-spatial data;
o Providing GIS training and support to new and existing staff;
o Application of best GIS practice to the collation, analysis and creation of spatial and address related data;
o To be able to process address spreadsheets (Excel) so that they can be displayed within a GIS;

To apply you must have proven professional experience of working with geographic information in a corporate environment and have substantial and proven experience of the LLPG and its applications. You will also need experience of working with the ACOLAID system. You must have excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and be self-motivated to produce outputs of a high specification and accuracy. You must have the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and produce clear, concise reports.

The role is based in the will initially be offered as an 11 month contract and the rate will be between £150-£190/day umbrella depending on experience. Contact us ASAP if you are interested and would like more info.
