Planning Policy Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated town planner with 2 years’ experience.  A self-starter and team player, capable of managing your own workload with minimum supervision, you will play an important role in delivering our new Local Plan.

Hambleton has a proven track record in plan making and is one of the few Councils to have adopted a full LDF and implemented CIL.  We are looking for an enthusiastic planner to join our team to help deliver the new Local Plan. You will join the team at an important time as we are currently finalising the Publication version of plan prior to it being submitted for examination.

Hambleton District is an attractive place to live, nestled between the beautiful landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks. The Council Offices are located in North Yorkshire’s County Town of Northallerton, which boasts a range of local shops, restaurants and excellent transport links to the urban areas of York and Teesside. The offices are located next to the town’s Leisure Centre and free parking is available on site.
