The Planning Policy Team is looking to recruit a member of staff to assist with the Local Plan Review.  This will involve completion of the evidence base, policy drafting, public consultation and an examination in to the soundness of the plan.

Principal Planning Officer (Local Planning)

Salary up to £45,914 per annum

(including premia payment and car allowance)

£5,500 Recruitment payment (dependant on experience and qualifications)

We are looking to recruit a Principal Planning Officer to the Planning Policy Team in the Planning and Environment Directorate.  The post holder will contribute to the Local Plan Review and help to shape the future sustainable growth of this economically buoyant and environmentally sensitive area.  Ideally you will have substantial experience of local and neighbourhood planning.  The role will involve working on the evidence base, drafting policies and carrying out consultation.  In addition it will be necessary to support parish councils in the production of neighbourhood plans.  The Council has carried out a preferred approach consultation and is anticipating consultation on a publication plan later in 2019.
