Town Planner / Planning Consultant

NPS Property Consultants works in partnership with Norfolk County Council, supplying expertise across property maintenance and consultancy services. The business supports a growing number of public and private sector clients across East Anglia, as is dedicated to provide professional service across all of our disciplines.

One of our key commitments is the development of our employees, and as a result of this we are looking to recruit a Town Planner / Planning Consultant into our team based in Norwich, Norfolk.

The Role

Alongside providing subject matter expertise across specific planning needs, development and design, you will be accountable for:

  • Providing development and planning advice to our clients
  • Proposing new ways to maximise the potential value of existing sites
  • Managing planning and development scheme through the planning process with our clients
  • Undertaking development appraisals of lands and buildings, and presenting recommendations to clients on best value

Our Successful Candidate

Whilst we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a significant amount of the below experience, we would also be keen to develop someone who can show a willingness to learn along with as much of the following:

  • Professional membership or eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Relevant education (Degree or equivalent) in a related discipline, or significant commercial experience
  • Proven experience in a similar planning environment
  • Relevant project experience, delivering a range of development and planning work in partnership with public and private sector clients
  • Desire for continuous personal development within the industry
