Planning Officer/Senior Planning Officer (Career Graded)

£25,295 - £35,934 per annum

Are you an experienced town planner wishing to broaden your skills within a progressive planning service covering an area boasting extensive countryside along with historic market towns and villages? 

If so, as part of an expansion of our planning service, we’re recruiting an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player who will play a leading role in delivering high quality development across the district.  

As a Planning Officer/Senior Planning Officer you will manage and determine a caseload of planning applications including a wide range of development proposals and major development schemes; provide detailed advice at the pre-application stage and represent the Council in public and at appeal. 

You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to learn, whilst being able to work with minimal supervision. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, whilst focussing on delivering good customer service and high quality development.  

In return, you will work in a friendly environment where you will be fully supported in your role whilst having the opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills within a busy planning team.
