A great Senior Planner opportunity has become available for a Town Planner looking to work on a diverse caseload of minor, complex medium and major planning applications.
This Senior Planner role offers you the chance to work for a rapidly expanding Local Authority growing both economically and through a wide range of development including schools, commercial & retail units, residential and urban development schemes.
You will be managing and processing a caseload of new and old applications encompassing residential, mixed use, change of use and commercial planning applications often within greenbelt and rural areas.
In addition, the successful Senior Planner duties include:
- Pre-application advice and guidance to applicants and agents with the submission of planning applications
- Attend site visits
- Maintain electronic planning application files by scanning and indexing plans and correspondence
- Representing the local authority at committee when required
The successful Senior Planner will ideally have 5 + years practical experience as a Senior or Principal Planner working in a local authority in a Development Management team with a proven track record processing a mixed caseload of minor to major planning applications.
You must have Town Planning specific or a related degree to be considered for this Planning Officer role.
