At the heart of the country and in a county that is continuing to develop, Northamptonshire County Council's Planning Service is involved in minerals and waste development planning and development management, as well as wider planning and development initiatives.
This is a key position within Planning Services. We are a small but friendly team with an excellent record in determining planning applications and keeping our local plan up to date. We also supply our services to other planning authorities.
You will lead on managing and undertaking work related to the monitoring of planning permissions for minerals development and the monitoring, and if necessary enforcement, of unauthorised minerals and waste development. Both of these areas of work account for just over half of the post's workload and the remainder will be taken up by working on one of the contracts the service has with other planning authorities and/or determining planning applications for minerals and waste.
You will need to be an experienced planner, preferably with some minerals or waste planning experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to further your career and position yourself for the future.
