Assistant Director Planning and Regeneration
£60,000 to £65,000 plus generous relocation support
Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
West Lindsey District Council has two very clear priorities, to enable and facilitate the growth of a strong local economy and to build stronger, more resilient communities. We have established a very clear strategic framework to assist with the achievement of our priorities, including an outcomes framework that seeks to galvanise a whole organisation and whole system approach to the growth and sustainability of our place. We are now seeking an Assistant Director Planning and Regeneration to join our senior leadership team and to support us to deliver our priorities.
In this newly created role you will lead a programme of strategic planning, plan making and projects that underpins the Council’s Growth agenda with emphasis on place making our market towns, delivery of our strategic employment sites, enhancing our environment and creating a vibrant rural economy; in addition to delivering a highly effective and customer focussed planning service, responsive and pragmatic to a changing environment. This is an exciting time for us, and this role is instrumental to us achieving our vision - a strong focus on an “enabling” planning approach and determination to deliver sustainable and inclusive growth to enhance the wellbeing of the district.
We have an ambitious programme of investment and are seeking an ambitious planning, economic development or development surveying professional with a track record of enabling development, growth and place making. If you want to be part of an authority that is transforming its operating model and to play a key role in helping us achieve our vision then please click on the 'Apply Button' or contact Gary Evans (0113 205 6080).
