Advance your Career at Swindon Borough Council.
Swindon is a vibrant town with big plans for growth and regeneration. We are investing in our Planning Service to ensure we can continue to plan positively for Swindon’s growth, deliver high quality design and support a competitive and productive economy.
We are looking to appoint a skilled and highly motivated Policy Planner to assist in the delivery of the Local Plan to 2036 and provide support to Neighbourhood Plans.
This role provides a great opportunity for a dynamic individual with a ‘can do’ attitude to be part of Swindon’s continuing success story. At the same time you’ll be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across the Council, partner organisations and with developers.
In return we offer a competitive salary, a great working environment and a chance to work in the award winning service.
The role includes liaising with Parish Councils and other local organisations which may involve meetings outside of normal office hours. An ability to travel throughout the Borough is therefore essential.
The post holder must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
If you are experiencing technical issues submitting your application please email resourcing@swindon.gov.uk
