Principal Planning Officer

Opportunity:

A local authority is looking to appoint a Principal Planning Officer into their Bedfordshire team. You will lead on a variety of major development projects, working closely with the teams within Masterplanning, design, transport and land supply. Often, your projects will exceed 200 units in size ensuring you play a critical role in the local authority's requirement of building over 1,300 new homes per year. The council seek an experienced figure not only to work on these complex developments, but to provide an interoffice leadership role, mentoring junior members of staff.

This is the ideal position for a Senior or Principal Planner with 4+ years of expertise looking to step into a senior position within a vibrant and dynamic local authority. This is a temporary contract, expected to roll on beyond its stated finish date.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience post qualification
• UK town planning degree, preference will be weighted towards those with an MRTPI
• Experience working on either public sector major developments, or private sector large scale, complex projects
