Senior Planning Policy Officer

Osborne Richardson have an excellent role for a Senior Policy Officer to join one of the most well know local authorities in Central London. This role sits within our clients Forward Planning department and will require you to assist our client review their Local Plan evidence and contribute to their Policy development. You will be involved with ensuring our clients planning policies and guidance are kept up to date by planning and managing projects and work streams. You will carry out research and write policy, lead consultation and engagement exercises and take those projects and work streams through the milestones to external examination where necessary, working across the Spatial Planning service.

You will be responsible for advising and liaising with other areas of the Planning & Regeneration Team as well as developers, Members, the public and other teams across the council. On occasion you will be required to deputise for the Team Leader in their absence.

The successful candidate for this role will need a well rounded knowledge of current UK planning legislation. Previous work experience within a local authority planning policy team is essential and an appropriate degree level qualification is required. The contract will initially be offered as a 4 month contract but is likely to be extended and the rate is good - up to £35/hr umbrella depending on your experience. A full job spec is available.
