Development Management Area Team Leader

Salary range £44,145 - £53,951 per annum (36 hours per week)

This is a full time post assisting the Head of Development Management in delivering the Council’s planning applications service. The Development Management team is based within the Planning section of the Council’s Housing, Planning and Regeneration Service and comprises professional Planners dealing with the full range of application types including major development.

The Council is implementing its Local Plan following adoption in January 2019 but faces ongoing challenges and development pressures including London wide housing requirements, which the draft London Plan suggests will rise significantly upon adoption.

We are looking for a candidate to take a positive and proactive approach in leading one of the Development Management Area Teams.  The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate experience in managing staff in a planning environment, excellent communication skills and a strong track record in performance management.

For an informal discussion on this post , please contact Jake Hamilton, Head of Development Management, on 020 8313 4802 (email jake.hamilton@bromley.gov.uk)
