As Development Management Officer, you will be responsible for the project management and case assessment of a range of planning applications appeals and other projects. You will prepare cases for appeals, giving expert evidence at inquiries and hearings and investigate suspected breaches of planning control, in particular those involving a failure to comply with planning permissions and planning conditions
The role will involve providing a range of advice and guidance to a range of customers and leading on more complex minor planning applications and less complex major applications. A commitment to a high standard of customer care and an ability to analyse a range of considerations is a must.
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a recognised degree or post graduate qualification in planning and at least one years' relevant planning experience.
