Socio-Economist (Town Planning)
A leading UK planning consultancy is looking for a socio-economics specialist to join their London team to work across a range of projects.
Key areas of work will include economic analysis for existing and proposed developments, using socio-economic indicators to build baseline revealing key strengths, and work across a number of other socio-economic work streams such as Health Impact Assessments, EIAs and Equality Impact Assessments. Working with the economics team you'll develop new business and create further reports and products for the consultancy's clients.
This company are one of the leading town planning organisations in the UK with offices in a number of major cities. They work with an enviable list of clients, including developers, housebuilders, private landowners and public sector bodies. They operate closely with an international engineering firm and share a lot of business together. The company are well known for high quality work across the built environment, and take the training and development of their staff seriously. This is a great role for an experienced economist or planner with economics experience looking to work on complex and interesting projects
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-6 years' post-qualification work in a town planning, economics related, or analytical field. The ideal experience will be assessing socio-economic impacts of development proposals.
- Degree level qualification in economics or related social science subjects.
- Be a commercially minded individual experienced working within a private sector environment.
