Principal Developer Funding Officer - £49/hr

Excellent opportunity to take up a critical role working for a County Council in East / Southern England. If making a difference is what your career in planning is about then this role is perfect as it will see you take on a high level of responsibility for leading crucial negotiations on development proposals including infrastructure and service requirements and you will be the key contact when it comes to dealing with developers, landowners, City & District councils.

It will be your responsibility to effectively negotiate and secure key infrastructure and land from initial approach from developer, pre-application discussions through to the signing of the S106 agreement. You will use your wide ranging planning and development experience to identify, justify, co-ordinate, negotiate and secure funding for county council service infrastructure needs arising from development proposals.

The role is going to suit a confident negotiator who enjoys the challenge of managing complex processes and building relationships to deliver the desired outcome for all involved. You will need an excellent knowledge of local government procedures and an acute understanding of the politics of managing major development at a county level. We expect a formal planning related qualification at this level and any specific, supplementary management training / qualifications will definitely be an advantage.
