Major Applications Officer (Planning)

Grade 8 - £35,934 - £40,760

An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Lindsey District Council for a Major Applications Officer as a result of career advancement of the current post holder.  As part of coastal Lincolnshire, East Lindsey is one of the largest shire districts in the country whose beauty comes from the famous Lincolnshire ‘wide open skies’ and its outstanding coastline. There is the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, a number of historic market towns with their independent shops and smaller rural villages together with convenient access to the major centres of Lincoln, Hull, Newark and Peterborough.

This is one of two posts on the establishment as Major Applications Officer and you will report to and deputise for the Head of Planning, exercise the delegation on non-Committee items with the other post-holder and primarily have a workload of major and complex planning applications across all categories. The successful candidate will provide support and mentoring to all officers drawing upon your significant public and private sector experience in the desire to streamline and further improve the efficiency of this customer focused service.

You will be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and have significant public and private sector experience with some managerial experience desirable.

Please submit a current CV, along with a covering letter and personal statement (no more than 500 words) by clicking on the 'Apply Button'.

Closing Date: 22nd November 2019
