Job Details
We are seeking to appoint a Planning Officer. The post is full time (37 hours per week), within the Development Management Section.
Within one of the Area Teams, your role will be to assist in, and provide professional input to, the delivery of the Development Management Service (including Planning Enforcement) within the policy framework for the development of land within Pembrokeshire, the Local Development Plan (LDP) for Pembrokeshire, to ensure development is appropriate to its location as well as ensuring that the natural, built and historic environment is conserved. You will deal with a wide range of planning applications (and related applications), under the direction of the Area Team Leader and undertake enforcement duties.
We are looking for someone with a recognised qualification in Town and Country Planning (or equivalent). Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the Royal Town Planning Institute would be advantageous.
