Bedford Borough Council has a vacancy for a self-motivated Town Planner with a positive outlook, excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer focused services. The right candidate will have experience from either the public or private sector dealing with householder, minor, and prior notification applications; the right candidate will also be RTPI chartered or at least eligible for chartership. The wider team comprises seniors, principals and team leaders so a good level of mentorship is available.

Due to current restrictions, the role will be fully remote with IT equipment provided, but a mix of office and home working is expected longer term.

Access to a car insured for business purposes is essential as the post requires site visits and off-site meetings to be undertaken.
