Job Details
You will work within our clients 'Business Growth Team' who sit within the wider Planning and Economic Development division within the Council. In response to the Covid-19 crisis you will be working to promote safety initiatives by carrying out educational and awareness projects in relation to best practice for businesses reopening in line with government guidelines on Covid-19. You will work as part of a team whose core activity is to promote economic development in the region, with a focus on Town Centres.
Part of the role will involve carrying out patrols in the area so you must be comfortable with this part of the role. On a daily basis you will be liaising with a range of stakeholders, outside organisations and other departments in the Council so good communication skills are absolutely essential and you will need to have a strong customer satisfaction focus in your approach to work. The role would be well suited to a recent Planning / Regen / Economic Development Grad who has gained some relevant work experience, ideally within a local authority setting.
Our client is based in the East Midlands with excellent connections to the M1, being approximately 1 hour from Sheffield in the North and the same with Leicester in the South. The initial contract will be 3 months but there is potential for the role to go on form some time, certainly until the end of the calendar year. The rate will be £15/hr (umbrella).
