Support Team Supervisor – Full time role
Salary: Band D - £27,608 to £30,245

Temporary 2 year contract
The role
This new and exciting role within the Council is available for a motivated, flexible and highly organised candidate who will need to have knowledge and experience of all aspects of the planning process. We are looking for a dynamic supervisor who is confident leading a team and has previous experience of setting and monitoring targets.
As a supervisor you will be responsible for six Admin & Support officers and through 1-2-1s, appraisals and training will work with the team to prioritise their work load and ensure:
- Planning enquiries and appeals are responded to within relevant timescales.
- Applications are referred to Development Control Committee.
- The Community Infrastructure Levy is administered in accordance with planning legislation and procedures.
- FOI requests relating to planning matters are actioned.
- Enforcement complaints relating to planning are registered, acknowledged and case files are kept up to date.
The Support Team Supervisor will also work closely with the Planning Standards and Improvement Manager to deliver projects, monitor and report on performance across the Service, respond to Freedom of Information requests and ensure we achieve and deliver excellence for all customers.
The Team
This is an exciting time to join the Development Management Team who have recently undergone changes to the Management structure. They are loyal and committed and encourage regular meetings to share and build knowledge.
This role would ideally suit a confident, innovative and engaging individual with experience of working within a busy Town Planning or related service and who is looking to make a real difference.
