Salary: £23,785 to £29,659 inclusive of London weighting plus essential car user allowance
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Up to 37 hours per week. Requests for part-time or flexible working will be considered.
Office Location: Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. However, regular home working will be expected.

The Development Management department at Three Rivers District Council is offering a permanent Planning Officer position within its Development Management team. This is a full-time role, but part-time and flexible working applications will be considered.

Skills and Experience:

The role includes a combination of handling of pre-application enquiries, assessing planning applications and subsequent appeals, undertaking enforcement investigations and other project work. Dealing with a varied caseload you will have the potential to develop your career and make an important positive contribution to the local area.

The role will require strong verbal, written and presentation skills and candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability and initiative to handle a diverse and competing workload and work to tight deadlines. Good interpersonal skills will also be necessary, as will be liaising and negotiating with the public, external agents and organisations, Council Members and other Council departments.
