Planning Officer – Career Grade (Planning Policy) x 1 post

Salary Range from £21,589 - £27,905 per annum (pay award pending)

Preston City Council is part of the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal. Work is well underway on a £430 million 10 year plus investment programme to grow the local economy by £1 billion, creating over 20,000 new jobs and building over 17,000 new homes.

We are investing in our Planning service to support the review of our Local Plan, which we are working together on with our neighbouring authorities of South Ribble Borough Council and Chorley Council. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join our team, whether you are a school or college leaver or indeed a graduate, we are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised individual and we are happy to recruit at any point in the career grade scheme. You will make an important contribution to researching, monitoring, reviewing and updating planning policy across Central Lancashire. You will need to be able to work productively within a team environment and act on your own initiative. The career grade scheme advertised will enable you to see how your role could evolve and progress over time.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact Chris Blackburn, Planning Policy Team Leader, on 01772 906570 or ch.blackburn@preston.gov.uk
