About Croydon
Croydon is an ambitious Council and we are looking for a dedicated, dynamic, enthusiastic, hard-working and passionate development management practitioners, operating as Senior Planning Officers within the Applications Teams. We are proud of what we have achieved to date and have been recognised as one of the best in class, with a focus on supporting and encouraging business growth, delivering new homes (specifically affordable homes) and responding to local needs, making sure that all benefit from the fruits of good growth and regeneration.
Croydon is well placed to be a major strategic force for good growth and transformation in London and the South East. The Council has a vision to deliver much needed sustainable development and town centre renewal over the next 20 years, as envisaged by the Croydon Local Plan (2018). We have and will continue to be focussed on delivery - well grounded in reality, working closely with partners and developers to problem solve and identify pragmatic solutions, utilising dynamic development management processes and best practice.
An opportunity to get involved and be part of a forward-thinking development management service does not come along very often and we look forward to hearing from you. Should you wish to discuss the role further, please email Richard Freeman Richard.freeman@croydon.gov.uk or Nicola Townsend nicola.townsend@croydon.gov.uk. We will be sure to get back to you.
