Are you a Planner or Senior Planner looking to join a growing team in Yorkshire? If so, our client is a national planning consultancy with a fantastic opportunity for you to join their hard-working team.​

The consultancy works with established clients across the UK from numerous offices and their team in Leeds handle a mixture of residential, retail, education, mixed use and major regeneration schemes across the region and beyond. Typically, the Senior Planner will have an integral role in these schemes engaging with clients that include house builders, major retail operators, developers, education providers and local authorities.​

As a Senior Planner you will be tasked with managing projects that will vary in size and complexity, mentoring junior team members, progressing applications through the planning process and engaging with and managing client relationships.​

Ideally the Senior Planner will have demonstrable experience of handling projects and working within the private sector. Chartered RTPI membership is preferred as you will ideally take a key role in mentoring and supporting junior team members on the APC pathway. Sector experience can be varied, but any previous retail, education or residential experience will be extremely beneficial. Excellent communication skills are required due to the key role the Senior Planner will have on projects and, therefore, engaging with clients, Planning Officers, colleagues and other stakeholders.​
