The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We shape planning policy, raise professional standards and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Education and Profession to lead the strategic direction and oversee the delivery of education, knowledge, professional ethics, policy, practice and research at the RTPI. In this role you will oversee the development of pathways to planning as a career, drive the delivery of apprenticeships and oversee the implementation of strategies to enable the RTPI to influence policy evolution effectively. You will be the professional standards champion for the RTPI and will drive the achievement of corporate objectives as part of the Senior Executive Team.
A Chartered Member of the RTPI, you will have experience in a senior leadership role, a good understanding of professional ethics and higher education provision and a commitment to the development of policy and practice in planning to meet changing social, economic and environmental needs.
