Job Details

As a Land Charges Officer you will provide support to a team administering key information in relation to Planning Applications, Tree Preservation Orders, Enforcement Notices, Listed Building Notifications, Legal/Highway Agreements and Building Control Notices. You will be required to verify accurate information and copies of documentation and ensure they are stored digitally within the Planning and Local Land Charges IT Systems and linked to the relevant properties. A key function of your role will be serving to identify and log any anomalies found in the manual system and reporting issues and errors to senior staff within the Land Charges Section.

The role would be well suited to those with previous admin work experience who are looking to establish a career within town planning and building control. Any relevant qualifications, such as a geography or town planning related degree would be a distinct advantage given the technical nature of the team's work but previous work experience within this specific field is not absolutely essential.

The role is based within a Local Authority in East London and will initially be offered for a minimum 3 month period though it could be extended and the rate will be between £18-£20/hr (umbrella). Contact us now to register your interest. A full JD is available on request.
