Development Management – Fixed-term contract until November 2021​

As a Planning Assistant you will handle a caseload of householder and other minor planning applications; deal with related appeals and engage with applicants and other interested parties on a day to day basis. This role is currently being offered as a 1 year fixed term contract, but may transfer into a permanent role in the future. That may also include the opportunity to increase to full time hours.

You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to learn, whilst being able to work with minimal supervision. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, whilst focussing on delivering good customer service and high quality development.  

In return, you will work in a friendly environment where you will be fully supported in your role whilst having the opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills within a busy planning team.

Currently, due to Covid19 restrictions, the intention is for the jobholders to work from home, other than when undertaking site visits. However, office working is available if necessary.
