Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting this multi-disciplinary firm, who are looking for a Design Engineer / CAD Technician to join their chartered team.
Our client offers unique, bespoke services to meet the needs of their clients. They provide expert advice for their Volumetric Modular Construction across Design, Manufacture and Installation.
You will be working alongside their in-house RIBA- accredited architects who have a wealth of experience transforming design concepts into the very best modular solution. This is through early engagement and a collaborative approach.
Key jobs duties for this Design Engineer / CAD Technician role:
- Producing detailed fabrication drawings.
- Liase with the Architect team
- Producing detailed construction drawings.
- Communicating with procurement team and external supplier
Essential skills / qualifications for this Design Engineer / CAD Technician role:
- Degree Qualified (Relevant Architectural or Design Qualification is acceptable).
- Good knowledge of MEP Design and modelling skills.
- Experience working with forms of construction involving Cross Laminated Timber
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regs, producing and submitting planning applications.
- Proficient in Revit is essential.
- Knowledge of BIM standard.
- Proactive nature.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Sound time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving licence and own transport.
