Senior Project Manager

Our client is a local authority based in East London and are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join them for a contract role which sits within their Capital Delivery Team. Our client is going to undergo an ambitious period of regeneration which will result in significant growth across the borough to the benefit of it's residents and businesses.

The successful applicant will lead in the efficient delivery of a number of projects within our clients Housing and Education capital programme which is valued at c.£120m. You will support the development and delivery of housing through the Council's wholly owned Development Company. You will have responsibility for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that they are fully informed throughout the developments.

Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Planning and have a proven experience in project managing the delivery of commercial or social housing and or education, leisure and regeneration projects, including working with developers and the local community. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members. Ideally you will of worked within a Local Authority setting.

The rate offered is £400/day inside IR35. This contract will initially be offered for 3 months but with a view to extend it beyond this.
