Principal Planning Enforcement Officer - Grade 12 - £34,728 - £37,890 per annum
Senior Planning Enforcement Officer - Grade 10 - £29,576 - £32,233 per annum

Job Details and Requirements North East Derbyshire District Council places great importance on its Planning Service delivering sustainable development and jobs in the right places while protecting and enhancing its rich and varied countryside on the edge of the Peak District National Park and the Derbyshire Dales. We must also balance the benefits of much Green Belt and being an attractive place for people to live.
To meet these increasing demands we are looking to add two key posts to our Development Management applications team.
The Principal Planning Officer will have significant experience dealing with complex and contentious planning applications and appeals. Experience of supervising other planning staff would be advantageous.
The Senior Planning Officer must be experienced in managing a large case load of planning applications and the processes and communications that derive from them.
We are also needing to fill the Principal Officer vacancy in the Enforcement Team and add a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to this Team.
The Principal Planning Enforcement Officer will have experience in dealing with complex and contentious breaches of planning control and a range processes that are needed to resolve them. Experience of supervising other planning staff would be advantageous.
The Senior Planning Enforcement Officer must have experience of planning enforcement processes and a clear understanding of the objectives of the service.
All the successful candidates will have demonstrated their abilities to work as part of a committed, friendly and professional team.
