Carrington West are assisting their North Yorkshire based Local Planning Authority client in their search for a Planner, experienced in dealing with planning matters situated within Greenbelt areas.
 
The position is suitable for a planning professional who has significant experience in spatial planning policy OR development management but must be specifically in relation to Green Belt.
 
The work you will be involved with relates to Green belt and therefore, in order to hit the ground running, the candidate will need appropriate experience in understanding the policy regulations and applying this to inform their decision-making and report writing. This may be through having written Green Belt Assessments or dealt with matters through examination of Local Plans or having had planning inquiry or appeal experience.
 
The two main responsibilities:
·Take a lead role in the preparation and presentation of policy evidence relating to public inquiries and planning appeals
·To take a lead responsibility in preparing reports, briefings and presentations
 
 
The role will be primarily working remotely with some site visits to be completed where necessary.
