Town Planner

Our client is a Local Authority based in Devon and they require a DM Planning Officer to join them for a contract role ASAP and process caseload of householder and minor/medium planning applications. They need an experienced officer who has recently worked with a local authority in a similar role managing a large and varied caseload of planning applications as this will be a remote working position with limited support.

To apply for this role you will need an excellent working knowledge of UK planning legislation. You will need good stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the context of planning policy on development projects. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to manage a large caseload of applications.

Our client will pay between £20-£25/hr (inside IR35) depending on experience and initially this contract will run until the 10th September but could be extended due to the workload our client has. This will be a homebased role but the successful candidate will be required to carry out their own site visits so you will need access to your own vehicle. Mileage will be covered by our client.
