Planning Enforcement Officer

Our client is a busy Local Authority in West London and they require a Planning Enforcement Officer to manage a case load of planning enforcement investigations. They will likely be focused on residential properties but may also include commercial premises. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.

To carry out this role it is absolutely essential you have worked within a similar capacity within a local authority setting. You will need a good working knowledge of planning legislation and you will need to be well organised. As you will be largely working under your own initiative you will need to be disciplined in your approach to work and you will need to be able to manage work within agreed timeframes. Formal town planning qualifications are not absolutely necessary if you have an equivalent level of work experience in this specialist area.

This role has initially been released as a 5 month contract, but it is likely to be extended. The rate offered is £25/hr inside IR35. Please get in touch for further details.
