The Role  
My client is looking to expand their exceptional in-house team, who deal with planning and environmental issues that arise from HS2.
 
As a Principal Planner, you'll be responsible for a full range of development management matters on the project, whilst also attending meetings focussed on HS2 casework within the community. Working collaboratively with our Planning Team, you'll process HS2 applications and pre-application submissions.
 
Supporting and leading their wider team, you'll manage a complex caseload of planning and environment work related to HS2. You'll work collaboratively across these areas, as you provide key input into the processes that will determine applications, from the design of infrastructure to liaising with the community and Council Members. You'll ensure a joined-up approach across the Council as you determine applications, and undertake work relating to appeals under the HS2 legislation.

To be successful in this position you MUST BE:
·A Qualified Town Planner with significant experience within a Local Authority Planning Department
