Job Details
Our client is a busy Local Authority in East London and they require a Planning Enforcement Officer to manage a case load of planning enforcement investigations. They will likely be focused on residential properties but may also include commercial premises. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.
To carry out this role it is absolutely essential you have worked within a similar capacity within a local authority setting. You will need a good working knowledge of planning legislation and you have experience of writing reports, correspondence and briefing notes giving operational information and record keeping including reports analysis and making recommendation on planning issues. As you will be largely working under your own initiative you will need to be disciplined in your approach to work and you will need to be able to manage work within agreed timeframes.
This role has initially been released as a 3 month contract, but it will be an ongoing rolling contract. The rate will be up to £29/hr inside IR35 depending on your level of appointment and experience.
This will be a home working role though you will be required to carry out site visits as required.
