Our client is a Local Authority based in West London and they require a degree qualified Town Planner to carry out a role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on processing with a caseload of planning householder and minor applications and you will be providing expert technical advice at every stage. On a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
The role will be offered for an initial 3 month period but is expected to be a long term running contract. The rate offered is up to £25/r inside IR35 depending on your experience.
