Working under the guidance of senior staff, the role would be within the Planning Service supporting the development management and development compliance functions. The role requires working as part of team and contributing towards the performance objectives of the Planning Service.

This role would provide the opportunity of working with varying issues, both in the office and on site, in order to assist in the effective handling of planning related matters, including planning applications, projects, appeals, research work and other investigations.

For this post, experience of working development management or planning enforcement and compliance is desirable but not required. Candidates would be required to demonstrate that they can handle situations with tact and diplomacy, especially where emotions sometimes run high, together with good organisational and administrative skills and the ability to read and interpret plans and carry out accurate site survey work, would each be key to the achievement and challenge of this job.

For an informal discussion please contact Jennifer Atkinson on 0161 234 4517.
