Planning Validation Team Leader
Our client is busy Local Authority based in East London and they are seeking an experienced Validation Team Leader for their Development Management and Planning Enforcement teams.
You will oversee a team of Technical Officer who support these teams. You will direct and prioritise the daily work load of the technical support staff and validate and quality check all types of planning and building control applications, including appeals. Including fee calculations, consultations and publicity. You will also support the Heads of Service in the development of the service in relation to customer care, commercial needs or any other similar government or Council initiative
Applicants for this post must be have recent experience of working in a similar role within a local authority. You will also need to have a n understanding of Development Management and Building Control functions and processes. Your strong technical knowledge of UK planning legislation will need to be complimented with good management skills and the confidence and ability to direct a team. Experience with IDOX Uniform required.
This is a contract that will initially run for 3 months but there is the possibility it will be extended, and the rate offered will be up to £43/hr inside IR35. This will be a home working roll.
