Are you looking for and exciting opportunity to develop your career? Do you want to lead a team to support and deliver our ambitious plans for growth and development? Since 2008, we have strived to improve design quality across the district transforming the appearance of our new developments. Our principal settlements are Coalville, Ashby de la Zouch, Castle Donington, Measham and Kegworth, with charming villages and hamlets in between.
We are looking for someone with considerable planning knowledge and experience to lead and move forward the work of our busy and successful Planning and Development Team, building on existing strengths and refreshing the way we operate in development management. The successful candidate will need to continue and support the team’s journey of improvement enabling team working to create and maintain collaborative relationships between officers and members. As the Team Manager, you will be at the forefront of these changes, creating and delivering an open and customer-focused service whilst ensuring the council continues to support the need for the district and community to grow, balanced against the need to conserve North West Leicestershire’s historic and green infrastructure.
Do you have a town and country planning or equivalent degree qualification, considerable planning knowledge and experience of development management working in a local authority, along with a can do and creative approach and supportive management style?
