Job Details
Our client is a Local Authority based in East Anglia and they require a DM Planning Officer to join them ASAP. They are looking for a Planning Officer to manage a caseload of householder and minor planning applications. They need someone with a minimum of two years recent experience of working within a Development Management team for a UK Local Authority. You will be providing expert technical advice at every stage and on a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
To apply for these role you will need an excellent working knowledge of UK planning legislation. You will need good stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the context of planning policy on development projects. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to manage a large and varied caseload of applications.
Our client will pay up to £40/hr inside IR35 depending on your level of experience. This will be a home working role though you will need to carry out your own site visits where appropriate.
Initially these contracts will be offered for 3 months, but could be extended due to the workload our client has.
