Cotswolds National Landscape is looking to appoint a part-time Planning Officer who will help to ensure that development is delivered in a way that conserves and enhances the natural beauty of this nationally important landscape.
The Planning Officer will engage with a wide range of planning issues across the 2,000km2 of the Cotswolds National Landscape and the 15 local authority areas that overlap with it. Key planning issues for the area include housing, transport, quarrying, renewable energy and nature recovery.
The Planning Officer will primarily deal with our development management caseload, including responding to local authority consultations on planning applications and providing advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders.
The Planning Officer will also support the Planning & Landscape Lead on strategic-level issues, including responding to development plan consultations and developing and advocating our position on relevant issues.
