Ashfield District Council has a new opportunity for a Major Projects Officer to work within the Planning & Regulatory Service. Based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, you will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return we will offer you a competitive salary of £35,745 - £38,890 per annum plus casual car user payment as necessary. We also offer an attractive package of in-work benefits.

The Major Projects Officer role
We are an innovative, forward thinking Council and seeking a highly driven, motivated and confident person to join the team at Ashfield Council managing major development enquiries, applications and appeals.
This fast paced and varied role will involve negotiating legal agreements, preparing and presenting reports to committee, and giving expert evidence at appeals and court proceedings.
You will have a sound knowledge of planning law and experience of dealing with major planning applications and appeals, along with excellent communication skills.
Planning is a corporate priority and you will be a key player in delivering a proactive planning service in the district, for the benefit of our residents and businesses.
