An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic planning professional to lead our Development Management Team. You will be responsible for all aspects of development management from pre-application discussions, applications and appeals as well as planning enforcement.
This is an ideal time to join Renfrewshire Council as our transformational programme continues to be implemented, while exciting and ambitious developments including those related to City Deal, Cultural Infrastructure and our Housing investment programme that seek to positively shape Renfrewshire for years to come.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, it is essential that you have experience in working in local government and ideally have experience of leading a Development Management Team within a local authority. You should be well organised and able to manage a challenging and varied workload and be comfortable working with a wide variety of people including elected members, agents, developers, community groups and members of the public. As the Development Standards Manager you will work collaboratively with other teams across the Council to help shape development in Renfrewshire, including economic development, regeneration, placemaking and housing.
