We are looking to recruit two Planning Officers who can deliver excellent results and play an integral part of an evolving and innovative Council which is forward thinking and embracing new opportunities through technology and transformation.

You will be an enthusiastic and proactive person, who can handle a caseload of planning applications, pre application files and planning enforcement files. As part of the supportive, hard-working and motivated Development Management team you should have up to date working knowledge of planning, have excellent communication skills and be able to manage and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.

You will hold a degree in town planning or a related discipline. You should be eligible for membership of the RTPI and be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with a range of planning issues through planning policy or development management work.

There is an essential car user allowance of up to £963 per annum and a relocation package of up to £5,125 may also be available.
