An exciting opportunity has a risen to recruit ambitious candidates to strengthen our Development Management Team. This career graded post is an excellent opportunity, for an experienced planning officers or if you are just starting out on your planning career. Either way, we want to support and develop your skills to perform and progress as a professional officer.
Working as a Career Grade Planner, you will play an important role in managing a varied caseload of all types of planning applications, pre-application enquiries, and appeals.
We have wide range of development proposals from urban extensions, large employment uses, proposals in sensitive locations.
You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable with handling conflict and negotiating solutions to challenging problems. We will also give you the opportunity to broaden your skills and gain valuable experience to support your career development.
It is possible to enter the career grade at any level, provided you meet the entry criteria and we welcome applicants at all levels to apply. The career progression scheme explains the expectations for each job level within the scheme. If your application is successful, you will be appointed at the appropriate scale and starting salary, depending on your skills and experience.
