Senior Development Manager (Royal Docks)

Central London

£70,241 per annum

Fixed term or secondment (maternity cover) until December 2022

Connecting communities, welcoming new businesses and expanding global relationships, we’re breathing new life into the Royal Docks area. And, with a number of initiatives set to launch, we need more people to help us see them through.

It’s an opportunity to work with leading developers and partners on the capital’s largest projects to deliver genuine mixed-use development for all Londoners. Together we’ll achieve more.

The Royal Docks is London’s only Enterprise Zone and is going through a process of considerable change and regeneration. Thousands of new homes are being constructed and millions of square feet of commercial space. Alongside this development is a programme of culture, economic development and community engagement.

This role in the Royal Docks Team will be at the heart of shaping and influencing the development of some of the largest development sites in the area. Working with developers, stakeholders and the community on important projects for Newham and for London.

You will support work on a portfolio of projects including Silvertown Quays, Thameside West and Brunel Street Works as well as public realm and highway improvements and the activation of the water of the Royal Docks. You will help support the area becoming a diverse, inclusive and successful regeneration story for Newham and London.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL) until January 2022. The Mayor has announced that City Hall will be relocating to the Crystal Building in the Royal Docks. These roles will be based at The Crystal Building from January 2022. Further information on the relocation announcement, can be found here.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.
